Behind the decks: BLNC.

Once known as RicoleBlance, BLNC started spinning vinyl around 2004 after growing up in Schoorl. His sound was shaped during the legendary 12House hardcore parties in Alkmaar, where his passion for millennium and oldschool hardcore truly began. He also became a familiar name at ThunderdomeRadio, sharpening his raw energy and relentless style.

Around 2012 he made the move into techno and played many events, with Loveland standing out as one of the highlights. After a period away from the scene, BLNC is back with a renewed mission: bringing hard-hitting millennium hardcore, oldschool hardcore and hardtechno back to the dancefloor.

Expect pounding kicks, dark energy and serious underground vibes inspired by artists like Catscan, Miro, Starving Insect and Promo.

Tomorrow night we’re back again with another heavy session of Radio Tegendraads, live from the bunker at the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam Noord, broadcasting straight from the studio of Amsterdams Most Wanted. Expect raw underground energy, pounding beats and the true rave spirit that Ondergronds Verzetje stands for.

This episode features Appie-B, also known as Albert Bakker, a DJ whose story goes all the way back to the early underground rave days. He started spinning vinyl in 1992 and by 1995 he was already organizing parties together with friends, including Bart Sloot a.k.a. Bartello. In 1998 he became a father and stepped away from the scene for many years, but the passion for the music never disappeared.

Seventeen years later he found himself back at a rave and instantly realized how much he had missed the atmosphere and energy. Together with his girlfriend he picked up the vibe again, bought a digital setup and returned behind the decks. Before long they were organizing outdoor parties themselves, and during the corona period this evolved into the legendary Back to the Roots Tunnelraves — bringing real underground culture back to life when the scene needed it most.
