The work continues!
Founded in Amsterdam in 1993 by Rhythm Import boss Peter Duijkersloot together with DJs and producers Olav Basoski and Erick E, Work Records quickly became one of the Netherlands’ most influential independent house music labels.
The label made an immediate global impact with its first release, “Don’t Turn Your Back” by Pancake, a project by Basoski and Erick E themselves. The track set the tone for a run of dancefloor-driven house records that would resonate with DJs worldwide.
Work Records soon built a strong catalogue with standout releases such as Sil – “Windows”, Sil – “Villa Ducato”, and “Opium Scumbagz” by Basoski.
At the heart of the label’s legacy is Basoski’s legendary Samplitude series, a collection of well over 50 tracks that became essential tools for house DJs across the globe. The series helped cement Basoski’s reputation as a key figure in international house music
and established Work Records as a trusted source of groove-heavy, club-ready house.
After a break, Work Records returns with Olav Basoski once again at the helm, ready to reignite the spirit of the label and bring its signature sound back to dance floors around the world.
The work continues.
