A young couple had just moved into a new neighborhood. The spent their first day in their new house unpacking their belongings. The next morning, as they sat down to eat thwir breakfast, the young wife looked out of their kitchen window and saw her neighbor hanging the washing outside.

"My goodness, look at that!” she said to her husband, “that laundry is filthy – she doesn’t know how to wash properly. Maybe she needs better detergent.” Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time their neighbor hung her washing out to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.

About a month later, the young woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on her neighbor's line and said to her husband, "Look! She has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who finally taught her?"

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows!"
