EMR and EHR are NOT the same thing.
And if you’re preparing for a career as a Medical Virtual Assistant, you should know the difference.
We had this conversation with our students last week.
At first, it sounded like a small technical detail.
It isn’t.
Think of it this way:
EMR is mainly a digital patient chart used within a healthcare practice.
EHR goes beyond one practice. It allows patient information to be shared across different healthcare providers and settings.
Simple, right?
But here’s what people don’t always tell you:
As an MVA, you’re not just learning software.
You’re learning how healthcare teams actually work.
That’s why our training goes beyond “where to click.”
We focus on the practical knowledge you need to confidently support healthcare professionals remotely.
Our next MVA Training Cohort starts in September.
If remote healthcare has been on your mind, this might be a good time to explore it.
