One of the things that make your work as an event designer stand out or appeal to the human sense of sight is the neatness of your fabrics and other material such as flowers.

I have observed overtime that some designers do not give the needed care to their material, especially fabrics.
One may argue that most of the material are voluminous or bulky hence challenging to handle, still, you can choose to make them neat.

And some of the ways to do that is:

1. Always fold your fabrics neatly; avoid the temptation of squeezing them into bags whenever you finish using them.

2. Do not delay the washing of your stained or dirty fabrics. Staying too long before washing can cause them to wear out and look over the weather when used .

3. Make sure your flowers are always covered, either in a specious plastic drum or bag. Don't just drop them to be littered by dust. The dust will stain the ones that aren't meant to be washed regularly, and that will affect the appearance of your setting when used.

4. Store flowers according to shapes and sizes. Some flowers are not meant to be squeezed into same space with some other flowers. Cherry blossom for instance can be stored with other flowers with similar shape. That way, you maintain their shape and look for as long as you wish to use them. This same method should apply in storing roses, leaves, fillers, etc.

These tips have worked for me over the years. If you have the ones that are working for you, you can still stick to them or suggest for others to adopt.
