*MEDITATION FOR TODAY* Apostle Eugene E. Ogu
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
*FIX YOUR GAZE ON CHRIST:* As believers, we must always know that life is full of distractions, challenges, disappointments, deceits and uncertainties that can easily mislead and shift our attention away from God. Sometimes, we can become overwhelmed by what we see, misled and discouraged by what we hear, and anxious about what tomorrow may bring. But our Lord wants us to always fix our gaze on Him. (The Truth) Peter walked on water as long as his attention remained on Jesus. However, when he shifted his gaze from Jesus to the raging wind, he became afraid and began to sink. When we focus on our circumstances, fear may overwhelm us; but when we keep our eyes on Christ, we find grace to stand amid life's storms. Jesus remains our source of strength when we are weak, our peace when we are troubled, our hope when situations appear hopeless, and our light when the way ahead seems dark. We must learn to trust His promises above our fears, His faithfulness above our doubts and His wisdom above our limited understanding. I pray that our faith in Him will remain steadfast through His grace to fulfil His purpose for our lives, in Jesus' mighty name.
