I just finished watching Behind the Scenes… and honestly, this movie is more than entertainment it’s a lesson a lot of us are living but refusing to admit.
First thing… family.
This movie really opened my eyes to something we don’t like to say out loud
Not everyone related to you is truly your family.
Some people share your blood but not your heart.
They smile with you, eat with you, but slowly drain you, manipulate you, and take advantage of your kindness. And the painful part? You keep enduring it because “they’re family.”
But this movie reminds us love is not by force, and loyalty is not by blood.
Then let’s talk about signs.
The truth is, the signs are always there.
That friend that only calls when they need something.
That one who never shows up for you but expects you every time.
That subtle disrespect you keep ignoring.
We see these things… we just choose to overlook them.
And in doing that, we slowly lose ourselves.
Another part people don’t talk about enough how we treat those who work for us.
House helps, staff, assistants…
This movie showed clearly that these people can either make you or break you.
The way you treat them matters. Respect, kindness, fairness it’s not optional. Because loyalty cannot be forced, it is earned.
And then… the biggest lesson for me
putting yourself first is not selfish.
We have been conditioned to always give, always sacrifice, always endure…
Until one day, you are empty.
Sometimes choosing yourself will look like being “wicked” to others.
Sometimes it means stepping back, setting boundaries, saying NO.
Also, a very important reminder take your health seriously.
Go for checkups. Pay attention to your body.
Don’t wait until something breaks down before you start caring.
Because at the end of the day, if you’re not okay, nothing else will be.
And finally… I have to give it to the actors and actresses 👏🏽
They didn’t just act, they delivered.
Every emotion felt real, every scene hit deep. You could feel the pain, the frustration, the awakening it was too relatable.
This movie is not just something you watch and forget.
It stays with you it makes you think… it makes you check your life.
If you’ve seen it, you’ll understand.
If you haven’t… prepare yourself.
Because this one will touch somewhere deep. 💔
Big kudos to Funke Akindele, Shaffy Bello, Ireti Doyle, Wale Ojo, Kehinde Bankole, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Deyemi Okanlawon, and Adeniyi Johnson… you all didn’t just act, you brought this story to life.
