A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, leaving several construction workers feared trapped.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, behind Eternal Filling Station, opposite Chief Sam Ngbor Avenue, off Peter Odili Road.
Eyewitnesses said workers were on site when the building suddenly gave way, prompting panic in the area.
Emergency responders were quickly deployed to the scene and have begun rescue operations.
The Rivers State Police Command confirmed that two persons have already been rescued and taken to the hospital, while efforts are ongoing to locate others possibly trapped.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.
