President Goodluck Jonathan Unveils New
N100 Notes [PHOTOS]

Speaking on the new notes, Central Bank
governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele said the notes
will be in circulation from December 2014.
The new N100 note designed to
commemorate Nigeria’s 100 years of
amalgamation was unveiled by President
Jonathan today Nov. 12th at the state house
during the Federal Executive Council
meeting.
While presenting the notes to other
members of the Council, the president said it
was a laudable gesture by the CBN to
produce the notes which would serve as a
reminder of Nigeria’s centenary celebration.

Groom Calls Off The Wedding After Seeing
His Bride Looks Like An Old Lady

In China, Guo Chien the groom was already
prepared for their pre-wedding shoot that
he wore his best suit.
But, he was surprised to see his bride to be,
wore a make up that looks like an old lady,
with gray hair and wrinkles.
The 26 years old Qing Kao decided to show
up to his groom as an old lady to prank him
and to know what would be his reaction.
Chien felt bad to see the looks of his fiancee
and was not happy with the prank.
Witnesses said that Chien told his fiancee
Kao to wash off the make up on his face, but
Kao refuses to do it. And she said that if her
boyfriend loved him after 50 years, it should
be okay with him to take photos. They were
arguing in the street and by pa’s’sers were
looking at them. Then Chien realized that
their debate is going nowhere, so he
decided to leave and abandoned Kao.

Too Bad! Wife Narrates How Husband Was Murdered..They Snatched My Joy Because Of N500 (Photo)

The wife of a 36-year old vigilante man in Delta State has accused policemen of aiding the death of her husband and father of four for allowing his colleagues beat him to coma in their presence. Not satisfied with the beating, the police in charge allegedly whisked him away in that state to the police station where he passed away the next day. His wife has petitioned the Governor of the State, IG and Police Commissioner saying life has been unbearable for her since the incident happened and also wants justice. Here’s how Punchnewspaper reports it.
he wife of a vigilante has accused policemen attached to the Sapele Police Division, Delta State, of aiding the thugs who killed her 36-year-old husband.
The widow, Mrs. Esther Ifi, said the six-man gang had tortured her late husband, Mr. Jimoh Ifi, to a coma in the presence of the policemen around 8pm on July 16, 2014.
Punch Metro learnt that the gang had attacked the deceased for failing to remit a sum of N500 to the head of the vigilante group, Mr. Felix Ipemu. The sum, it was learnt, was given to the victim by a man who visited their joint in the Igbeku Community when the chairman was not around.
Our correspondent gathered that the leader of the group, who also doubled as the youth leader in the community, reportedly ordered his boys to unleash terror on Jimoh for being disloyal to the group.
Esther told Punch Metro that after falling into a coma, her husband was taken to the police station by the policemen.
The father of four was said to have died in police custody the following night.
Esther said the suspected assailants were being sponsored by a politician in the state. It was also alleged that the alleged sponsor had made entreaties to the deceased’s family to ‘settle’ the matter.
Narrating her ordeal, the widow said life had been difficult for the family since her husband was murdered.
She said, “It has been difficult for me to fend for the children since the gang killed my husband. They attacked him three times that very day. He was relaxing at home around 8pm when they attacked him again. Even though the police saw the gang beating him, they did not do anything.
“Instead, they bundled him inside their van and took him to the station. His brother and I begged them to release him, but they refused. It was the following day that we learnt he was dead. Just because of N500, they snatched my joy from me.”
Punch Metro further gathered that a separate team of policemen eventually swooped on the suspected assailants, leading to the arrests of the ringleader and one of his boys identified as Lugard Tebu.
It was learnt that four suspects were still at large.
In a petition filed to the Inspector General of Police, the Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, and the state’s commissioner of police, the solicitor for the family, Mr. Omajali Emmanuel, demanded the arrest of the fleeing suspects, adding that the policemen that arrested the deceased were also culpable.

GOOD NEWS! Ebola crisis 'slowing in Liberia'

The World Health Organization (WHO) says there has been a decline in the spread of Ebola in Liberia, the country hardest hit in the outbreak.
The WHO's Bruce Aylward said it was confident the response to the virus was now gaining the upper hand.
But he warned against any suggestion that the crisis was over.
He said the new number of cases globally was 13,703 and that the death toll, to be published later on Wednesday, would probably pass 5,000.

South Africa & Orlando Pirates Goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa Shot Dead In His Girlfriend’s House [PHOTOS]

Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper and captain Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead yesterday October 26th at his girlfriend’s house just a few hours after the photo above was taken.
According to reports, Meyiwa, 27, who played a match for Orlando Pirates on Saturday night, was at his girlfriend’s house, SA pop star Kelly Khumalo (pictured right), when three men entered the home in Vosloorus, Johannesburg to rob them. Meyiwa ended up getting shot in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. No one else in the house was hurt.
Even though he was dating Kelly openly, Meyiwa was married. Until his death he was married to a lady named Mandisa Mkhize and they had two children. He also had a child with Kelly, a baby girl named Aphelele who was born this year. Sad. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

LOL!! Jobless Lazy Man sentenced for Stealing A Large Pot of Soup in Lagos

A Somolu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Monday sentenced a 28yrs old man, Abiodun Ojedokun to six days of community service for stealing a large pot of soup.
The Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi, sentenced the convict to 48 hours of community service for each of the three-count charge, after he had pleaded guilty to the offence.
Police say: “The accused connived with some others, now at large, to break into Mrs Gbadamosi Sanni’s shop at 2:00 a.m. They broke the locks and stole her large pot of soup, valued at N8,000.”
The convict, arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy, burglary and stealing, pleaded guilty to all the charges preferred against him.
“Based on the facts of this case before this court, the confirmed report and your plea of leniency, I hereby sentence you to 48 hours community service on each of the counts of the charge,” Magostrate Bola Osunsanmi ruled.
The prosecutor, ASP Akinlabi Adegoke, told the court that the convict, who was a casual worker and whose address was unknown, committed the offences on September 20, 2014, at 2:00 a.m. at the Onipanu Model Market in the Somolu area of Lagos State.
The prosecutor told the court that the offences contravened Sections 285, 308 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
According to to NAN, Ojedokun pleaded guilty to the charges and asked for leniency, and confessed that he committed the offence because he was starving.

Federal Govt. to ban 'Okada' (Commercial Motorcycles) nationwide!

The proposal for the ban was made by the National Council on Transport after its annual conference in Enugu State and endorsed by the Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar.
A statement from the Federal Ministry of Transport on Saturday evening stated that the ban of commercial motorcycle was one of the measures proposed towards adequate provision of safety and secure transportation in Nigeria.
It said the recommendation was contained in a statement of the week long meeting which had in attendance all the state commissioners of transport, permanent secretaries, directors and officials in the federal and state ministries of transport across the country.
The council advised all states in the federation to henceforth discourage the use of commercial motorcycles as a means of public transportation.
"All states and the Federal Capital Territory have therefore been advised to establish a public transport system that ensure strict regulation of the operation of public passenger transportation system through a well-articulated management system for enhanced safety, security, effective and efficient service delivery,"
"The states are to also develop master plans for the development of intelligent transport system to facilitate the development and management of their transport operations in line with emerging trends and global best practices." the statement said.
