MY PERSONAL VIEW ON THE COMMISSIONER’S REMOVAL

The Commissioner for Works in Ebonyi State has been removed from office by His Excellency, the Governor.

In my personal opinion, I believe this is a decision the Governor had the right to take based on his assessment of the situation. I have spoken about this Commissioner in some of my previous videos, so this development does not come to me as a complete surprise.

To the former Commissioner and other former commissioners, this should serve as a lesson that political appointments come with responsibility and accountability.

Let everyone understand that an appointment is a position of service, not a permanent entitlement. Commissioners and other appointees should respect the authority of the Governor and carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the administration’s direction and expectations.

This development also shows that the Governor is willing to take action when he believes it is necessary.

My message to all serving commissioners and political appointees is simple: learn from every development, respect the office you serve under, remain accountable, and put the interest of Ebonyi State first.
