What You Need To Know About Onitsha City Marathon

The maiden Edition of the Onitsha City Marathon will kick off on October 5, 2019 and according to the Chief Promoter of the first Marathon in South east. Professor Olusegun Sogbesan, the objective of the Marathon is to place Onitsha City on the global map as a Center of Sporting Excellence.

Distance : 21km (Half Marathon)

Start Point : Shoprite Mall, Onitsha
Finish Point : Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium
Registration fee : Free
Eligibility : Open to medically fit elite and fun runners.
Projected Participants : 20,000
Route Certification : Certified by AIMS/IAAF
Route Measurer : Norrie Williamson, An AIMS/IAAF Grade A measurer.
