Aisha Abimbola, a popular Yoruba actress, was known by many people as Omoge Campus a name she got from one of her famous movies.

She was born on December 19, 1970, in Lagos State. Even though she was from Epe in Lagos, she did not plan to become an actress at first. She studied Hotel Management at Lagos State Polytechnic.

Her acting career started by chance. One day, she followed a friend to a movie location. There, she met popular Yoruba actor Baba Sabiko who gave her a small role in the movie “Eje Adegbenro”. That was how her journey in the movie world began.

Later, she acted in a movie called “Omoge Campus” produced by Bayo Tijani. This film made her a star and many people started calling her by that name. After that, she acted in many Yoruba movies like:
• No Pain, No Gain
• Kamson and Neighbours
• So Wrong So Right
• T’omi T’eje
• Awerijaye
• Owo Ale
• Abimbola

Aisha was also a movie producer. She produced movies like “T’omi T’eje”.

Sadly, Aisha Abimbola di£d of breast cancer on May 15, 2018, in Canada. Her d£ath shocked many of her fans and people in the Yoruba movie industry. She was buri£d in Canada according to Islamic rites.

Aisha Abimbola will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and her great roles in Yoruba movies.
