THE TRUE REALITY OF LIFE
(Our Journey Together Is Too Short)
A woman climbed up the bus a sat down close to a man, hitting him with a heavy and dirty bag. Surprisingly, the man neither complained nor showed any ill feelings. When the man remained silent, the woman asked him why he didn’t complained when she hit him with her bags. The man replied with a smile, “There is no need to be upset about something so insignificant, as our journey together is so short, because I’m getting off in the next stop”.
Everyone is the bus were stunned by the man’s response; and I think there is a big lesson in this for everyone. Each of us must understand that our time is this world is so short, that filling it with useless argument, jealousy, unforgiveness, discontentment and bad attitudes are ridiculous waste of time and energy.
Did someone break your heart? Stay calm, because the trip is too short to disturb yourself into depression. Did someone betray, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you? Relax! Don’t be unduly stressed because the trip is too short. Did someone insult you without reason? Stay calm, ignore it; the trip is too short. Did someone make a comment that you didn’t like? Stay calm, ignore, forgive, and don’t stop to love them, because the trip is too short.
The truth about this life is, whatever the problem someone brings to us, it is a problem only if we it is. But rather than seeing it as a problem, always remember that our journey together is too short.
Unfortunately, no one knows the length of the trip together. No one knows when he or she will arrive at his or her own stop.
Therefore, the true reality is that our trip together is too short. So, let us appreciate friends and family. Keep them in good humour and respect. Let us be respectful, kind, loving and forgiving, so that we can filled with gratitude and joy. After all, our trip together is very short.
This is an invaluable lesson of the true reality of life. If we all can love, accommodate and appreciate each other, this world will be a better place to live in. The anger, hatred, undue manipulation and taking advantage of people’s ignorance is really not necessary, because our journey together is too short.
Be a blessing, not a burden.
