Last two weeks Friday this was delivered for a birthday in a Service apartment at Ikoyi.When Mrs Celia reached out to me,she said "I want a birthday food tray for my Nigeria husband.Can you do it without the cake and I don't want anything sugary on the tray,no cookies,juice,wine or nothing.Something for my baby and few friends.MJ,give them a little taste of home."
I knew rice wasn't the option.I sent her a video of a subcontract job I did and she said it's fine but I should take out some things.We decided on fresh Palm wine too and pineapple for one of the friends,she instructed not to peel.The palm wine vendor almost disappointed me but I told the devil,not today!!.The man said he was stuck in traffic and it was almost time for delivery.I called my friend Ola who has a power bike and we went down to Okoko where the vendor was stuck in traffic.I called the driver I work with 15 minutes before getting home and he picked up for delivery.It arrived exactly 4pm we agreed.
The soups were slightly alternated to her preference for certain reasons.It was delivered in 2 Litre Bowls.
She loved it and gave me a tip.I was watching a movie at night when I saw ₦10,000 from her.She said her husband told her of the complimentary pepper meat for the drink and the fact they enjoyed it.Clients like Mrs Celia is all I need 🥰😍

The first time I tasted couscous was in YETKEM Catering Institute years ago.From that day, I knew it's a food I'll never like.It has this taste I just can't stomach,even when I chew it raw.
