Lagos Bans Single-Use Plastics and Styrofoam Packs

The Lagos State Government has announced an immediate ban on single-use plastics and Styrofoam packs, commonly referred to as 'takeaways.' The announcement was made on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

The government cited the environmental menace caused by the use of these plastics as the primary reason for the ban.

According to officials, "Most drainage channels in the state are daily clogged up by Styrofoam and other plastics due to their indiscriminate distribution and usage, despite regular cleaning and evacuation of the drains involving humongous efforts."

Now, to all food vendors, caterers, restaurants, street food vendors, mama-puts, etc., what are the best alternatives for packaging customer’s foods?

Korede! Korede!! Korede!!! How many times did I call you?

This was how she started our last conversation that lasted for about 22 minutes on phone..

I decided to pay her a new year visit since it been a while i showed up at home. After exchanging greetings she went to the kitchen to prepare Amala with correct fresh fish stew top with eweedu “the kind sweat way commut from my body enhhh.

After clearing the table,on my way back to my seat I saw her with pack of juice Haaaa yeah “Let me chop the head of my life” 🤪🤪🤪

In some minutes later, that’s how my Mum start the conversation from where we stopped on phone..We’re still discussing the issue till now ….
