HERE IS THE JOURNEY OF MAKING THIS CAKE
After preparing all the ingredients I needed in making this cake,I went to prepare my charcoal oven.In the process of lightning the charcoal,I discovered I had bought a bad/wet charcoal,thank God I had little charcoal remaining from the last time I baked.I lighted the old charcoal first,added the wet ones by the sides,then placed it in the oven.i mixed mycake batter,placed the cake in the preheated oven,set an alarm for the next few minutes before opening the oven.i always make sure I go beside the oven at 5-10 minutes interval to make sure the oven is not too hot, inorder to prevent the cake from getting burnt.When my alarm rang,I went to check the cake.The cake had risen well but the center wasn't ready.Then I noticedthat the charcoal had begun to go off by itself.This is when the stress started,like everything was going smoothly until now.I quickly brought out the charcoal & fan it.The heat got better and the cake continued to bake.Finally the cake was ready.Meanwhile,I had been praying for NEPA to restore the electric power (light) since I started baking,but they didn't & everywhere was getting dark,inside of my house was darker & my phone battery was low. I had to use a touchlightThe touchlight was not bright but I managed it because I was to deliver the cake the next day. While decorating,the touchlight would go off and I would begin to hit it on my hand or lap for it to come on again.I continued to do so until I was done decorating the cake.To top it all,I was babysitting my Aunty's 1year old son.
Fast forward to when the electric power was restored in the night....I decided to take the picture of the cake. I unboxed the cake and I was amazed because the cake came out very neat than what I had imagined it to be.i didn't believe that I could make such a beauty without bright light.i was so happy.The process of making this cake was smooth,rough & lastly ended in praise.
