Ladies, let’s be real, love is not only about butterflies in your tummy, it’s also about consistent effort.

Yes I said Consistent Effort!!!

See eeh, if you’re the only one always picking up your phone to dial his number, always the first to say “hi” on WhatsApp, or always the one starting conversations… sis, that’s not love, that’s stress.

A man who loves you will want to hear your voice. He will look for you.

He won’t let days pass without checking on you. If he can go 24/7 without calling or texting, trust me, he’s either too busy for you or you’re not on his priority list, and marriage won’t suddenly change that.

Don’t deceive yourself with, “He’s just not a phone person.”
My dear, communication is oxygen in a relationship.

If he can’t communicate with you before marriage, he won’t magically change after saying “I do.” You’ll just be married and lonely.

So before you dream of matching aso-ebi or changing your surname, ask yourself:

Does he reach out without being reminded?

Does he make effort to check on me?

Does he enjoy talking with me?

If the answer is no, biko pack your heart and go.

Don’t settle for silence in the name of love. A man who doesn’t call or text is already showing you what marriage with him will look like, empty, cold, and full of excuses.

Sis, choose peace. Choose effort. Choose a man who values communication.

HOW TO RESPOND WHEN THEY REACH OUT AFTER SILENCE

When someone goes silent on you, ignores your calls, disappears for weeks, and suddenly pops back up with “Hi Babe" , it’s not because they missed you. It’s because they remembered you still care.

And here is how to handle them better:

1. Don’t rush to reply.
You don’t owe instant access to someone who made you feel invisible. Take your time. Protect your peace first.

2. Set the tone.
If you reply, keep it short and controlled. Don’t go back to the old energy that made them comfortable disrespecting you. Show them you’ve changed, even if they haven’t.

3. Check their intentions.
Are they reaching out because they actually value you or because they’re bored, lonely, or need something?
Most times, it’s not about you, it’s about their convenience.

4. Remember the silence.
The same way they ignored you should remind you that you can survive without them. Don’t let loneliness trick you into welcoming the same pain twice.

5. Choose wisely.
You don’t need to block them, but you don’t need to entertain them either. Sometimes the best response is no response at all.

Darling, silence was their message. Reaching back out is just noise.
Don't convince yourself into believing otherwise.

Protect your heart. Value your time. And never let someone treat you like a backup plan.

If you have more than 5 body counts as a woman between 21yrs - 28yrs , A man shouldn't just marry you. He needs to tread carefully. Why ? You've shared too much of yourself with too many people that you'll now second guess everything your man does to you. There has to be some amount of ignorance in you for marriage to work. If you are aware of everything due to too many experiences from men, marriage will become a battle instead of enjoyment. You start judging that man's moves with your five different experiences with men.
