My dear friend and sister wanted her Introduction and Engagement Ceremony to hold on the same day, but as two separate events. We started with the Introduction Ceremony — the first step towards forever — and it lasted for just one hour. Immediately after, we transitioned into the Engagement Ceremony, which lasted for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

She wore two different outfits for both events, and so did her husband. This goes to show that it is absolutely possible to have your Introduction and Engagement Ceremony on the same day while keeping them separate, if that is what you truly desire.

Here are a few tips that made it a success:

1. Both families arrived before 10:00 AM.
2. The bride and groom arrived early and were always available whenever they were needed.
3. As the Alaga, I arrived early despite the heavy downpour that day.
4. I managed the time effectively for both events, and that’s one of the benefits of working with a professional.
5. Friends and family members cooperated fully and arrived on time.
6. All other vendors — including the makeup artist, media team, caterers, and other service providers — arrived early and were well prepared.

With proper planning, coordination, and time management, your Introduction and Engagement Ceremony can successfully hold on the same day without any stress.
