Dear bakers, friends, creatives in Nigeria… We can pretend all is well… It is not. We can pretend all is fine.. IT IS NOT! We can try to keep up with the aesthetics of our pages. Honestly, we are past that point. Nigeria is bleeding, and it is bleeding at every door step, every corner, every home, every angle. Question now is… WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
Do we reeducate ourselves? Our parents? Our children?
Do we need to get arms and stand on guard?
Do we need to fight back aura for aura?
Do we still have patriots amongst us?
Are we all now cowards still looking to the sky and waiting for trumpet to blow?
Have we had enough yet? I know i have!
We need solutions! We need scape goats! We need a cleansing! Who will lead us in this war that we are already in either we like it or not? How do we make a statement that rings bells that we are no longer sleeping? Its getting worse, we know the problems! Why are schools still open? WHY ARE PARENTS STILL GAMBLING WITH THE LIVES OF THEIR CHILDREN? WHY ARE SCHOOLS STILL CHOOSING PROFIT OVER REALITY? We have a big issue! And the problem starts from each and everyone of us! The current government is a direct representation of us! And as we are waking up and demanding accountability from the government, we need to start a general mind cleanse!
This country will not survive if we continue to be selfish! We will not survive if we continue to worship money over conscience! This country will not survive if we continue to choose to love ourselves more than our neighbors! This is not the time to be biased! This is not the time to choose “brand image” over life! Only those who are alive and well can run businesses… only a thriving economy can produce buyers and patronage…
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD? WHO WILL LEAD US?
Best believe i will be at the front row when the time comes to step out. Best to stand and fight than to kneel in defeat…
My Igbo brothers that chose to throw themselves into the sea rather than become slaves in another mans land taught me that…
