Why is your decoration price too expensive?
This is what some clients will ask me whenever I give them my price.
But if we should give you a breakdown of how that money you are being charged is to be spent, you will see that the decorator is most times left with little to no gain at the end of the job.
Let’s not talk about transportation, feeding, rentals, materials etc I will talk about them later.
Let’s talk about labour today
In the video you are seeing are guys, able bodied men lifting a full roll of rug which is about 6m wide and 80 feet length
About 20 rugs are in that small vehicle and these two guys are expected to offload all and keep them where it should be
Labour costs a lot in decoration
Somebody cannot finishing loading, offloading, working, dismantling, packing, loading again and then offloading again after the work and you pay them peanuts
Or even refuse to feed them
That’s unfair
The truth is that you cannot pay a decorator enough because the bigger the job, the higher the labour and the higher the demand of delivery
Stop pricing decorations like pepper
