As a man, if your parents are aged and can't stay by themselves, get them a live-in maid to care for them and frequently visit. If their condition deteriorates further, consider moving them into your home. If anybody in your home, including your wife, objects, try to reason with them. If they still object, choose your parents over them. Why? Because God said to honour your father and your mother. God also said to love your wife as you love yourself. Now, if you do not honour your parents, it means you do not love yourself. And if you do not love yourself, then you cannot love your wife as yourself. Your parents are the root, and you are the branches. Anybody that does not honour the root cannot love the branches and the fruit it produces. They are only pretending to because it is presently convenient. After God, your parents come next, before anybody else. Besides, when you neglect your parents, you are teaching your children to neglect you when your time comes.
