On the 1st of October (only a few weeks ago), we said our pledge. We promised to be loyal and honest! We pledged to defend our unity and uphold the honour and glory of our beloved nation!

Today we stand with everyone else to say no more to injustice! There is no nation without us and we will stand for only what is right! We stand with every young Nigerian who has chosen to change the narrative! Our voices will be heard!

Today we roll out the drums for one of our amazing vendors. handled the décor for one of our clients. There was so much to be done and at some point, I was so sure that my event planning career was over, but God! At the end of the day, the event décor was truly jaw-dropping. Everything was just how we had imagined. If you are in the city of Jos, look my girl up she is worth it. And she is very available to travel too.

Prior to this day, we (at this time, the team was just one person) had just planned events for fun. No plan to make a business out of it. Like every other lady who gets excited about weddings, our team lead and founder was more than excited to help her dear friend out with planning the details of her big day. Paula (dear friend) was more than relieved to have her help out. One of the meetings, Paula dragged and introduces her as her wedding planner. Just like that, a business was born. But at the same time, the biggest mountain had just been placed in front of her.

was both planner and bridesmaid, well let's just say her bridesmaid duties took the back seat just to ensure her friends had one of the best days of their lives.

The wedding took place on the 30th of July 2016, which is the official birthday of . “It was beautiful and breathtaking.” These are the words of our very first clients and not ours.

Today we have a full squad and we do not take any of our growth process for granted. We are still a far way from our dreams but we are so grateful for how far we have come.

In light of our present ‘Work from Home’ situation, I have managed to turn our ironing board/shoe rack to my worktable. It is a task setting up and striking down every day but a girl has got to keep her workspace inspiring.

Recently we have had a lot of couples show interest in the Day Of Coordination. If the joy we feel while planning your event is anything to go by, then we can be sure that some clients will want to have that experience for themselves and we see this service hanging around for a while.
What is Day Of Coordination you ask? Or The Opal Package, as we like to call it (Our love for precious stones).

A Day of Coordination usually starts 45 days before the event and this is specifically for clients who have put their entire event together but would like to enjoy every bit of it on the big day and not feel stressed. We come in to basically manage and coordinate what has been planned already.

This package includes but not limited to:

• Meeting with vendors and clients (preferably at the venue of the event), 2-4 weeks before the event to discuss in detail, and handover from client to the coordinator.
• Final checks with all vendors and suppliers
• Confirm bookings

What does Hollywood/Nollywood have in common with Event Planners? Movies! Now before you start rolling eyes for me, let me explain. As an Event Planner, I see myself as a director and producer; our beautiful clients are the main actors and executive producers (because money is coming from them wink), vendors are the crew (we always work with the best crew by the way), and all guest and family members are the cast of the movie. What is the movie? The movie is the event (Wedding, birthday, bridal and baby showers, corporate events, training, and concerts).

Together we make the most magical movies ever. Crazy Rich Asian style wink.
As much as I love action movies, no Rambo or Angel has fallen scripts for us.
