9th of April 2016 was election day for the area councils in Abuja so naturally, there was no movement till later in the day. This day also happened to be Folake and Iliya's wedding; due to the elections, the reception was postponed till 4pm and mehn, it was great.
The event took place at Evelyn event centre in Gwarinpa and everything that day was a hit. I wasn't the official caterer for the wedding but dare i say the caterers (there were three different caterers) impressed me. One in particular totally blew me away, her food was on point, the wares she used (plates, cutleries etc) were on point, the servers etc... Hey, i'm not the best caterer/chef out there but rarely do i get impressed with other people's food or service especially at weddings but this woman changed my mindset totally.
Ok, back to the main gist of this post... i wasn't the caterer for the day but i was the official smallchops and chapman vendor for 500 guests. I don't know how i did it but i give God the glory. i basically split myself into twenty (lol). Did i mention we did everything at the venue? both the frying of the small chops and mixing of the chapman. as i was setting up inside, i was also running outside to supervise the frying.. Yes, i had my staffs there to do the job but see eh, if you are an event vendor and you rely on your staffs without you PROPERLY monitoring them, hehehehe, you are on a very long thing and just be prepared to lose your integrity.
In a nutshell, the event went well and there was more than enough to eat and drink, glory to God.
Wishing Afolake and Iliya Ishaya a very happy married life filled with love and laughter.
