We all know that "firsts" are something special.

First date, first kiss, first anniversary.

As we wrap up what we can consider our first year in operation, we'd like to express our immense gratitude to those who enabled us to experience our "firsts" in beautiful ways. From being our first supporters, to first friends made in this industry. You all have been incredibly gracious as we learned and grew. We wouldn't be where we are today without you. So thank you.

Simplicity + Sincerity.

"A celebration does not account for the crowd size or number of people, but the company that surrounds you."

We absolutely cannot leave out sharing snippets of Berlina and Daryl's intimate, micro wedding celebration with their loved ones because of how reminiscent and meaningful it struck a chord with us. When they first came to us if we were open to helping them albeit the pax count, we immediately said 'Yes!' without a doubt.

The gentle pair chose to host a lunch reception within the premises of their own home, with a solid 10-pax attendance of immediate family and loved ones. We resonate with their vision of keeping things simple yet having covered key elements, which made this wedding extremely wholesome. Berlina went for a minimalist, rustic theme of white and green which blended perfectly with their surrounding premise, and accentuated their beautiful, traditional Kadazan costumes which kept us mesmerised the entire time, because it was truly a rare sight to behold!

Leaving this trail of pictures here to remember how this taught us about enjoying these big feelings with little things.

Keeping It Genuine.

It's been a while since we've posted and man, what a year it has been. Not gonna lie, sometimes having to sift through thousands of images and planning content has become somewhat a chore — obligatory to keep the feed alive in this visually-driven platform, navigating through finding a persona that resonates with us through our stories, building an honest and good brand ethos, trying not to fall into an 'imposter syndrome' and blasting images only for aesthetic reasons.

We truly believe that with every journey we've chanced upon with each couple, these stories are so precious and we hope to share the raw, genuine moments from the best recollection we have of that magical day.

And with that, this series depict some of the best moments we hold close to our hearts of this beautiful couple, Joanne and Jeremy, and their loved ones.

First Look || There's always something so special and indescribably moving about this moment between two partners. Brings about a deep cauldron of emotions that is truly hard to articulate. It is pure, it is stirring, it is joyful, it is melancholic, it is breathtaking, it is compelling, and it is filled with astounding love.

As planners who have journeyed through the process with each couple, we will always find each and every 'first look' moment one of the most striking and tender moments that will remain dear to our hearts albeit knowing them for months, and nothing tops the feeling of seeing it live in their most raw and vulnerable love for one another.

Gate Crashing & Bride Fetching

Perking up this morning with a fun series of vivid red hues and bright colours, that resonated with the boisterous gate crashing event at Meng Leong and Mei's wedding, set in a beautiful, majestic bungalow.

ICYDK, the 'gate crashing' is a fun Chinese tradition which sees the groom and his band of brothers going through a series of small games initiated by the bridesmaids, putting the groom's 'worthiness' to test! Whilst technically the groom should be made to go through the four seasons of testing, also known in Mandarin as "Suan tian ku la" (酸甜苦辣), his best men are the 'chosen' ones (well...basically kinda mandatory and obligatory?) to go through on behalf of the groom. I mean, brotherhood is all about going through thick and thin together, innit?

Also, throughout these games, the bridesmaids get to expand their 'financial investment' by collecting red packets (angpaos) from the groom, as a form of 'payment' to pass through different gates and challenges in order to reach a step closer in getting the bride.

Fun and light-hearted in nature, these games put any wedding in a great mood to kickstart the day in high spirits just before the emotional Chinese traditional wedding tea ceremony.

How does one describe love?



A big word that fills up the crevasses of oneself, encompassing the nuances of life and every season. And the irony is that love is gentle yet it pushes you to the very ridge of the cliff; that love is kind yet is a master at tugging your heartstrings and capsize you into a sea of tears; that love rockets you to the brightest moon yet it’s gravity grounds you to the core when fazed with tough realities. 

And maybe love is also in the little things.

Maybe it’s about waking up learning to love yourself as an individual, yet amazed at how much you can offer the other. How to tread through uncharted waters even when the skies are grey, but knowing that you are not alone. Knowing how to give up that last piece of sashimi just because it’s okay. Or maybe bracing your legs to lose half your blanket most nights. Or having to deliberate for two hours and caving in to take a night drive for that midnight Ramli cravings.

Acknowledging that there will be peaks and troughs but it’s the companion through the ride that counts. Learning how to hold your heart and honour it. Letting it fill up certain voids, take up spaces and find beauty in falling in love, with love. 

Finding a safe haven in the other, and calling it home. Embracing and believing that even through the hardest days, you can still dance in the rain and find the courage to weather it together.

And that love is so compelling in it’s strange, powerful and beautiful way that it would take a galaxy of vocabulary to fit the shoes of what it truly is.

These two frames speak louder than a thousand words. Profound, and powerful. Often times, when we bask in the beauty of weddings, the sugar, the spice and everything nice, it is easy to overlook moments that bottle up the magnitude of a parent's heart and love that they give.

The hands that have held us tight as we trot our baby steps, hands that shine a lamp onto our path growing up figuring out how the world works, hands that navigate through the storms and raging seas to keep us safe, and hands that offer the steadiest, unfailing assurance even through different seasons and chapters in life.

And even as we celebrate this Lunar New Year, may we always be anchored back to our roots and reason for the celebration; where family holds the greatest meaning of all and truly, is the biggest blessing we can ever ask for and be graced with.
