And finally… the AFTER PARTY! 🪩🥂

The bridal party marched in with tequila shots, the CO₂ guns came out, the music turned up, and from there, everyone knew exactly what to do. 😂

After all the planning, ceremonies, happy tears and heartfelt speeches, this was the moment to simply let loose and celebrate.

The perfect ending to Jamie & Claire’s wedding — surrounded by their favourite people, dancing, laughing, drinking and making memories until the very end. 🤍

And just like that, we wrapped up one very special wedding weekend in Langkawi. ✨

What a celebration. What a crowd. What a way to end it.

Their dinner reception was truly SO THEM. 🤍

From the very beginning, Jamie & Claire knew they wanted their own family members to emcee the night , because who could tell their stories better than the people who know them best?

We also played around with a different seating layout, with curved tables surrounding the dance floor and the couple seated together with their bridal party at the VIP table, keeping everyone close to the heart of the celebration.

There were heartfelt speeches from the parents, Best Man and Maid of Honour, plenty of laughter, and some very cute personal requests…

🍾 Ch*****ne sabering — Jamie’s must-have.
🎂 Cake + candle blowing — Claire’s must-have.

One for him, one for her. Fair enough. 😂🤍

A dinner filled with their people, their ideas, and all the little things that made the night unmistakably Jamie & Claire.

When it came to the decor, one of our biggest considerations was how to create an impactful space without unnecessarily increasing the cost.

Carpentry work on the island is always more expensive, so instead of building more structures, Ally suggested that we work with what we were already planning to bring in, fabric draping, chandeliers and truss structures, and transform them into part of the overall design.

Less carpentry, less workmanship, but without compromising on the final look.

And then came the dance floor. This was actually the first time we tried this idea, printing individual stickers and piecing them together to create a custom chessboard-inspired floor. Something new for us, a little experimental, but it turned out to be one of our favourite details of the entire setup. 🤍

Good design isn’t always about adding more. Sometimes, it’s about making better use of what you already have.

The timing of their ROM ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. 🤍

Just as we were taking the very last group photo, we looked up and saw the dark clouds rolling in above us , and moments later, the rain came pouring down.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of the rain wasn’t the dramatic sky, it was everyone’s reaction to it. 🤍

No complaints, no unhappy faces, no letting the weather take away from the moment.

Instead, everyone picked up an umbrella, stayed in the moment, laughed together, and even turned to the camera with the biggest smiles.

The rain may not have been part of the plan, but the joy definitely was. ✨

It was dramatic, unexpected, and somehow the perfect ending to such a beautiful ceremony.

Thank you louis_gan for capturing this once-in-a-lifetime moment so perfectly. 📸✨

A little detail from the ROM ceremony that made us laugh, the paper umbrellas. ☂️🤍

When they first arrived, we were all looking at them and wondering, “Are these a little too small?” 😂

But in the end, they turned out to be just right, everyone could easily grab one, carry it around, and they looked so beautiful together in the photos.

Claire is the kind of bride who knew exactly what she wanted from the very beginning.

From her wedding dress to the little details of the day, she had a clear vision of what felt right for her, and we loved bringing that vision together.

Although Jamie & Claire were having their ROM ceremony with everyone, they decided that their personal vows were something they wanted to keep just between the two of them.

So before the ceremony, we arranged a private moment for them in the ballroom, right on the dance floor, just Jamie & Claire, taking their time to say the words they wanted only each other to hear.

And when it came to the actual ceremony, they kept it beautifully simple: “Yes, I do,” and the exchange of rings. 🤍

This was an immediate YES from the moment we saw this beautiful Sangjit from GELLY WEE WEDDING GOWN.

The entire look for Jamie & Claire’s Tea Ceremony was personally curated by our founder, Ally. From the overall styling of the space to finding a Sangjit that truly felt right for Claire.

And sometimes, finding the one takes time.

The decorative piece itself took Ally weeks to customise and was specially brought in from overseas. The couple simply told us, “Leave it to you, we trust you.” And with that trust, we were able to bring the whole vision together, and the final result turned out even more beautiful than we imagined.

The same thought went into Claire’s Sangjit.

Among so many beautiful choices, Ally selected this striking red Sangjit for her, timeless, celebratory, and perfectly suited to the traditional setting we had envisioned.

The moment Claire put it on, we knew: this was the one.

Something we’ve always believed when choosing a Sangjit is that the newest arrival doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best one for you.

There will always be new collections and beautiful designs, but what matters most is finding the piece that complements you, your features, your presence, the setting, and most importantly, how you want to feel on the day.

Because sometimes, it’s not about choosing what’s newest.

Two different rooms, two hearts getting ready for one beautiful day.

Even though we were celebrating on an island, away from their family home, we made sure every meaningful Chinese tradition was still beautifully honoured.

Jamie, who was born in Penang, and Claire, who surprised us from the very beginning with her incredibly fluent Mandarin! We still remember when we first met her, we didn’t even realise she was Chinese. 🤭

Eventually, they decided to bring their wedding celebration to Langkawi, making it easier for Jamie’s relatives from Penang to join them for this special occasion.

And so, their wedding morning began. ✨

From getting ready in separate rooms to the heartfelt Thank You Parents session, every little moment was filled with love and anticipation.

Then came the fun part, picking up the bride! A little gatecrashing, plenty of laughter, and of course, a few challenges before Jamie could finally see his beautiful bride.

Some of the most beautiful moments are the ones that weren’t part of the original plan.

Halfway through the planning journey, Jamie & Claire decided they wanted a Welcome Party, simply an evening for everyone to gather, reconnect, and spend time together before the wedding day.

And it turned into something so much more. 🤍

Seeing everyone show up with so much excitement, warmth and love, you could truly feel how loved Jamie & Claire are by the people around them.

Before the guests arrived, we stole a little time for a couple shoot during the blue hour. Claire prepared the dreamiest flowy dress, and against that beautiful evening sky, the outcome was simply magical.

As the evening settled in, cocktails were poured, canapés were served, conversations flowed, and everyone slowly eased into the celebration ahead.

No rush, no formalities, just good drinks, beautiful moments, and their favourite people all in one place.

The perfect beginning to Jamie & Claire’s wedding celebration. 🥂🤍
