Once in a while, I hear stories about and . Those are the cases serious enough to make the headlines. But what about the countless others that never reach the media? There are thousands of creators that I could tag.
But I decided to those who I idolize as , actively follow from my personal / biz account and consume their content almost every time they post something:
Tim Tiah - so many individuals get the privilege to attend a masterclass, but the there underprivileged fear to even go to a normal class, because what they learn from everyday life is to try to survive another day without being bullied.
Jason Chen - Viral food in Malaysia is memang mostly mahal nak mampuih, but for the victims, every morning waking up thinking about having to go to school feels like nak mampuih. "I just want to eat peacefully and survive another day."
Quek Shio - truly a nation's treasure of a content creator for producing top tier content, every video I see I have to watch multiple times. Millions of people watch and praise the your effort, it prompts me to think, can your video inspire or give the unfortunate ones the courage to speak up as well?
Teng2 - What's your take on this? I genuinely enjoy the topics you choose to share. They're surprising, random, and often things most people would never think about.
Speaking from personal experience as victim, posting this stuff never crossed my mind and if can I want to "shoosh" it off, until one day I was looking at my kid, he going to be 3 years old next 14th, and I watched him smile, laugh, and constantly seek for rotan. What if 1 day all of that changes? What if he comes home with bruises, crying, his face filled with fear? My platform is truly small, and I can only do so much.
