To say 2020 has been a challenging year would be an understatement. So many changes have taken place, new norms adopted, plans foiled and futures left uncertain. We have all been challenged in ways we could not have imagined before this pandemic hit, but we have survived and pulled through.

Through all the trials that you have withstood with your partner, you grip each other's hand a little bit tighter, hold them a little bit closer and open up your heart more to better things to come. Sitting with your other half after making that emotional journey down the aisle, with excitement, happiness and maybe just a pinch of anxiety because you guys have made it!

Here, finally, and most importantly together, as you take this leap of faith to commit to one another for the rest of your days. This is just testament to the strength that we have and will continue to have for the coming years. At the end of the day everything is worth it when you get to do life with your person.

All the while, we as wedding planners and wedding coordinators are forever honored to be part of it and be able to help love flourish. These moments are forever etched onto our hearts and give us the drive to continue doing what we love.

"When I saw you, I fell in love all over again.

You always hear stories about how planning for a wedding is a monumental task. Well, it really is! But at the end of the day, when you see everything materialise just how you envisioned it, you will know it will all be worth it.

All the hard work, the sleepless nights, the disagreements, the stress, all of this has been leading up to this single defining moment in your life. Imagine the pressure! Knowing all the while that there are a million different moving parts and you want everything to be perfect. On top of that, the entire day is so fast paced surrounded by an army of people - photographers, videographers, makeup artists, wedding party, family and the like.

Yet, the first time you lay eyes on your other half on your wedding day, all the busyness of the day fades away and nothing else matters except the both of you. Your breath quickens, heart thumping against your chest and a little lump is caught in your throat as you're experiencing a million emotions at once. A huge smile on your face to the point your cheeks hurt, tears of joy in your eyes and your heart just overflowing with absolute adoration for the other person before you. This moment is that, and so much more; it's indescribable and it cannot be recreated. "Yes", you say, "Let's do life together".

In these personal moments that couples share, we can't help but feel a sense of pride, joy and fulfilment as we watch from afar. Wedding planners and wedding coordinators are the little fairies that work behind the scenes, helping love along the way. We really do believe we have the best job in the world and it's truly an honor.

We love ROMs that happen in the evening, right before the sun sets. The air is always a little cool and more often than not, you will be able to feel a soft breeze against your skin. The entire scene is picturesque as it is bathed in a soft golden hue curtesy of the setting sun.

The stunning bride has just made her fabulous entrance and not a dry eye in sight, watching as her parent(s) give her away to her husband to be. Their little girl is all grown up, embarking on a new journey with her soulmate.

The gentle tones of the guitar or piano hum in the background, as the officiant's voice invites all present to be seated and the ceremony begins. Smiles are etched on everyone's faces with only love in their eyes as they gaze upon the lovely couple before them to make this huge commitment together.

Here's where the real tear jerker happens; wedding vows. Every couple is unique, each with their own set of promises to one another. The most beautiful ones are those written right from the heart and in that moment, you're given a glimpse into their lives, their love, their hope and their strength. This is their story and we've been invited along for the ride and what a divine love affair it is.

The morning of a wedding is always a flurry of activity. There are numerous people gathered, each running against the clock to get everything prepared. And through all that, you get to witness precious snippets between loved ones and family.

Tears of joy trickling down cheeks, the sound of laughter wafting through the air and the comfort of love enveloping everyone within its grasps. It is during these moments that your heart feels so full, and you can't stop smiling as you get to witness two halves find one another and become whole. Most of the time, we're also guilty of ending up in tears ourselves, and we love it! 😍

Oh, what a great way to kick-start the weekend! 😁
If you have not heard, we just got the green light that weddings, parties, celebrations and other events no longer have a 250 pax limitation. Instead, the capacity would be based on how many people that the venue is able to handle! Of course, all precautionary actions and social distancing are are still to be observed and practiced because !

We know when the initial announcement was made that all social events had a limitation of 250 pax, many of you struggled. Weddings for most, are a once in a lifetime event. When such a life changing event happens, you want to celebrate it with ALL your loved ones, instead of having to pick and choose. As such, we're sure this piece of good news comes as a relief to many of you!

A wedding ceremony is such a remarkable moment, as you get to witness two souls making a pact to do life together and that in itself is so beautiful because there's magic in the ordinary.

Breaking down a wedding ceremony, I'm sure you've witness the unity ceremony and these have many variations; lighting of a candle, pouring of sand and planting of a tree.

Like the rest in its category, the tree planting symbolises the joining of two separate journeys into one singular path. It honors the commitment that the couple is making. The sapling is placed in fertile soil, given sunshine and water while hoping it develops deep roots. In time, hoping it grows and bears fruit but also remembering to prune it when necessary. It mirrors a new marriage, whereby it too needs to grow and slowly develop. It can only truly bloom by being nurtured by both husband and wife. We always pray for our couples and hope for the best.

The 'Chip San Leong' or gatecrashing ceremony is a fun filled day that everyone looks forward to for any Chinese wedding! Yet, have you ever wondered why it's done? Aside from giving us plenty of funny and amazing moments captured on film, of course 😂⁠

The groom typically travels from his home to 'fetch' his bride from her house. However, before he gets to see his blushing bride, he and the groomsmen, also known as 'heng dais', have to overcome a series of challenges set up by the bridesmaids, or 'jiu muis'. Why do this? ⁠

As gruelling and difficult as the games may seem, they really are to represent the groom's earnest determination and dedication to his future wife. He has to prove that he is willing to overcome all adversities to prove his love for her! His sincerity to marry her (along with a stack of red money packets 😂) will help him overcome all challenges and claim his beloved bride! ⁠❤️⁠
