Is it a myth or the truth that the big guys started out their first venture in their own garage? Don’t they always tell the same old garage story? But the truth is always prevailing. The fact is none of them started off with enough money for even a prototype let alone a production line. This is their investiture. And this is the story of our founder - James and his team.
James Wong has always been the whizz-kid in the town. While kids at his age are party-goers, just like many innovators at his young age, he breaks and blows up things, reverse engineers whizzy stuff and self-learns them. It is the extraordinaries that he likes to play with, so he found his passion for fi****ms. In the country where fi****ms ownership is restricted, James found a somewhat similar passion - laser tag. He loves laser tag for its versatility, applications and its potential as an income source. So, here it is where the same old garage story as a starting point is retold. He put his thoughts into the gun design and electronic boards with just pieces of paper and had them passed to the metal fabricator for quote. With just little money down in his parents house garage, he worked on the electronic boards and came up with 20 sets of laser tag equipment. This is his story …
15 years later, Laser Battle was founded in 2012 and with private fund equity, James and his team focused on driving and expanding the indoor laser tag business chain in Asia. In the year 2018, laser tag industry players named Laser Battle as the fastest growing and the largest laser tag operator in the world. The company could not be any more proud of it. At least, that is what the industry is saying, but the journey has been remarkably positive during its expansion when Laser Battle is set to change what is traditionally believed to be, that laser tag centres are commonly operated from single entity usually by family owned establishments within the local community, to a professionally managed laser tag business expanding operations across international borders. With the right management team, right culture and values in place, Laser Battle will be the most popular and prestigious land-based laser tag brand in the world.
