Automation usually comes with one big fear: job cuts. However, Schneider Electric is taking a different approach.

By investing S$25 million into their Tuas distribution hub in Singapore, Schneider Electric is proving that technology and people can grow together.

Instead of replacing workers with machines, a significant part of that investment is going directly toward retraining their team. Employees are moving away from heavy manual lifting and stepping into higher-value tech roles like data monitoring, warehouse planning, and systems management.

Here is why this initiative sets a new benchmark for smart logistics:
• 🤖 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: "Goods-to-person" robotics and digital twins eliminate physical strain and have already boosted productivity by 10% (targeting 20%).
• 👥 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: Rather than downsizing, workers are upskilled into safer, tech-driven career paths.
• 🌱 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 & 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹: Operating out of a solar-powered, carbon-neutral hub to keep global supply chains moving sustainably.

It is great to see an industry leader prove that automation doesn't have to come at the expense of human talent.

We are excited to unveil the official Key Visual for Intelligent Manufacturing Kuala Lumpur (IMKL) 2027, and it tells a powerful story.

A 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁 and a precision 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗿𝗺 operating over a single, unified control panel. Connected around them are the core building blocks of modern industrial operations: semiconductors, cloud platforms, and smart systems.

The core message? Complete operational control at your fingertips.

The future of manufacturing isn't about isolated machines or replacing human ingenuity, it's about orchestrating humans, advanced robotics, and intelligent software into one seamlessly connected ecosystem.

That is the core of our theme this year: 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
