On the 16th of September,
a new chapter began.

Malaya, Sabah and Sarawak,
joined hands and stood as one,
bringing together different lands,
different cultures,
different stories,
under one name, Malaysia.

Years have passed,
and our stories have continued to grow.

From the shores of Sabah,
the heart of Sarawak,
to the lands of the Peninsula,
we may speak differently,
celebrate differently,
and live in our own unique ways
but we share one home,
one flag,
and one future.

Because Malaysia was never about being the same. It was about coming together despite our differences.

So today,
we celebrate where we came from,
what we have built, and everything we can become together.
