🌿 The Pinnacle of Japanese Floral Art｜Sogetsu Ikebana

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Sogetsu Ikebana, the 12th Annual Ikebana Exhibition by Sogetsu Johor Bahru Branch was grandly held at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, elegantly presenting a floral art showcase where nature, creativity and spatial aesthetics came together. 🌸

Sogetsu is one of Japan’s three major schools of ikebana, alongside Ikenobo and Ohara. Internationally renowned for its avant-garde, expressive and highly creative approach, Sogetsu has even been described as the “Picasso of Ikebana.”

Breaking away from the conventions of traditional flower arrangement, Sogetsu embraces freedom of artistic expression. Beyond flowers and foliage, artists may incorporate bamboo, wood, metal, stone, glass and other materials. Through bold compositions, striking lines and thoughtful use of negative space, each creation expresses the artist’s unique ideas, emotions and individuality.

Dedi Team was honoured to be involved in the on-site carpentry works and project ex*****on for the 12th Annual Ikebana Exhibition by Sogetsu Johor Bahru Branch.
