From projection mapping to live music, glowing markets to moving bus concerts, After Dusk transforms Padang Kota Lama into a wonderland of after-dark experiences.

Watch Town Hall come alive with “TERANG” projection mapping, be dazzled by “Starry Night” and “Transmute”, and feel the beat at “Rhythms & Roots”! ✨ Plus: shop and snack at “A Market Under a Starry Night”, and hop on a musical city bus ride with “Between Departures”.

We’re delighted to share that the George Town Festival 2025 press conference was successfully held today, hosted by YB Wong Hon Wai 黄汉伟, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE).

A big thank you to all our media friends, artists, and partners for joining us and showing your support!

This year, GTF returns for its 16th edition from 2 -10 August 2025, introducing the theme “Connection” — celebrating the powerful ties between the arts, the city, and the human experience. The 9-day festival presents 50 dynamic programmes through dance, music, theatre, visual arts and more!

George Town Festival 2025 is a project by George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI), organised by TLM Event, endorsed by the Penang State Government and the Penang State EXCO Office for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE). It is fully supported by the City Council of Penang Island (MBPP), Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) and Penang Global Tourism (PGT).
