Isn't 1-to-1 teaching better? Why is there group learning in DJ class? Can the instructor handle this?
1-to-1 teaching is good for delivering knowledge and skills to students. FOCUS and without interruption between student and instructor.
But for group learning, things change. It is a sharing session between aspiring DJs, supervised by the instructor.
When there are 2 or more students in class, the instructor might organise a short group learning session. How?
By mimicking the "Back-to-Back" performance format, each student will choose the next song to play. Not just stop and hit play.
They are required to mix their selected songs with the previous song, as a DJ does! Process repeat.
Group learning not only implements the skills, but also creates a bond between the students, making the class more interesting and engaging.
