Weekend @ D'Bayou
It's been a while since we posted news of D'Bayou. We spent the weekend at D'Bayou and managed to catch a beautiful sunset in addition to seasonal fruits. All the fruits (manggis, cempedak, rambai, pulasan, rambutan, langsat, duku, durian, bachang) were there for the picking. The durians were in abundance compared to last year. We had the small, medium and large ones presenting themselves.
A wonderful weekend indeed . . . repeat again next weekend.

Continued Clean up
Just before Ramadhan we continued to clean up D'Bayou as part our preparation to have our Raya there. A major part of the effort was focussed on D'Balai which was in quite a mess. It was good to see D'Balai's riverbank regaining some of its former self. There's more to be done . . . at the very least we have started some work, bit by bit.

Rejuvenating D'Bayou

We are hoping 2026 is the year when we rejuvenate, reinvigorate D’Bayou. We had, due to various circumstances, not paid due attention to D’Bayou since the big flood of 2021.

D’Bayou has huge potential which should be realised so that many can enjoy the natural, kampong offerings of D’Bayou. As a start, some early cleanup was undertaken. More needs to be done . . . let’s all enjoy D’Bayou again.
