On 24 April 2025, a familiarisation trip was held in conjunction with the Northern International Audio & Visual Show 2025, welcoming three media representatives from Japan, the United States, and Singapore, along with Japanese artist Nao Yoshioka and her band.

The group experienced a cultural journey through George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a charming trishaw ride that included visits to iconic landmarks such as Fort Cornwallis, Armenian Street, Khoo Kongsi, and more. The trip also included an excursion to Penang Hill and The Habitat, offering breathtaking views and an immersive encounter with Penang’s natural beauty.

Guests also indulged in Penang’s vibrant food culture, sampling favourites like nasi lemak, Hokkien mee, nutmeg juice, and other local delicacies.

This familiarisation trip showcased the best of Penang’s heritage, nature, and cuisine, and highlighted the city’s charm as a destination for international visitors.

Day 2 of the Northern International Audio & Visual Show (NIAVS) 2025 continued with great energy, as visitors explored the impressive sound quality presented by our exhibitors.

From listening sessions to live demonstrations, there was something for both casual listeners and serious audiophiles to enjoy. In addition to the wide range of audio and visual showcases, the day also featured engaging talks and live performances, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Whether discovering the latest technology or simply enjoying the music, there was something for all to experience and appreciate at NIAVS 2025.

On 26 April 2025, the 3rd edition of the Northern International Audio & Visual Show 2025 kicked off with a grand opening ceremony.

The ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including YAB Chow Kon Yeow 曹觀友, Chief Minister of Penang; YB Wong Hon Wai 黄汉伟, Penang State EXCO for Tourism & Creative Economy; Datin Bharathi Suppiah, Director of Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) and General Manager of Chief Minister Penang Incorporated (CMI); Dato' Ir. Rajendran A/L P. Anthony, Mayor of Penang Island City Council; Dato’ Khoo Boo Lim, Director of PCEB and Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) National; Mr. Ashwin Gunasekeran, CEO of PCEB; Mr. Wilson Teoh, Director of Gryphon Production; Mr. Oh Kin Tat, Head of Convention Centre at SP Setia; and many others.

The highlight of the ceremony was the official launch, where YAB Chow Kon Yeow 曹觀友 and YB Wong Hon Wai 黄汉伟 jointly strummed an electric guitar, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of the show. Following the launch, the VIPs toured the exhibition booths, experiencing first-hand the immersive sound systems and innovative displays. The tour was complemented by a series of captivating cultural performances, adding a lively and festive atmosphere to the occasion.

Day 2 of the Northern International Audio & Visual Show is off to a fantastic start, officially launched by the Chief Minister of Penang. Visitors are loving the immersive sound quality of the speakers and setups on display.
