Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend is a traditional tattoo event of artists who work consistently and are focusing on traditional tribal tattoo, neo-tribal tattoo and traditional tattoo revival. Concept:
Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend is a traditional tattoo event of artists from the region who work consistently and are focusing on traditional tribal tattoo, neo-tribal tattoo and traditional tat

too revival. Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend accommodates those certain tattoo artists above and traditional tattoo enthusiasts to interact and being productive collectively in an open natural environment and creative atmosphere. Borneo Handtapping Tattoo Weekend intentionally organized by multinational team for the selected tattoo artists from the region which is Borneo (Sarawak, Sabah and Kalimantan), Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippine and Singapore. Dates:
Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of February 2023
11:00 am – 11:30 pm

Meraki Fade ventures into the jungle of Siberut Island, West Sumatra to meet the tattooed indigenous Shaman of the Mentawai tribes. She crosses oceans, rivers, swamps and jungles to the remote wooden Uma where this tribe live a traditional lifestyle.

She makes tattoo tools with the Shaman and ink from ash while interviewing the elders. She gets tattooed in the jungle and reunites with her adoptive Mentawai auntie and Aman Lau Lau, the chief of the village. These Shaman live in the interior of Siberut Island, Indonesia and wear a full body suit called ‘The Eternal Clothing’.

But they have camping tent for rent or bring your own tent & pay RM 20/tent/night + very cheap entrance fee.
