Before the color, the music, and the beautiful chaos of Haldi, there’s a quieter moment worth remembering. 💛✨
For Natasha & Shaan, their pre-Haldi portraits gave us a few minutes to slow everything down and focus on them—the connection, the anticipation, the fashion, and all the details that make this part of an Indian wedding weekend so visually special.
One of our favorite details was Natasha’s Mehndi. Intricate patterns covering her hands and arms become more than part of the bridal look; they bring another layer of artistry and South Asian culture into every portrait. Against the vibrant colors of her outfit, each close-up becomes a story of its own. 🌿
We love using these moments before Haldi to create a mix of editorial wedding portraits and natural interactions. A beautiful composition of the couple, a close-up of the henna, movement in the outfits, a laugh between photographs—each frame reveals something different.
And then everything changes.
The turmeric arrives, family and friends join in, the colors become brighter, and those perfectly styled outfits begin collecting the evidence of a celebration well lived. 💛
