Ambitious much? That's what I shared with my team yesterday and decided, why not share it with all of you.
They say (in life and business) you have to "pay your dues," but in the beginning, it felt like I was paying a "proof tax."
Those first few years of becoming a Travel agent were fueled by a relentless drive to show the world I belonged—only to realize the most important person I had to convince was the woman in the mirror.
I wasn’t just looking for a career; I was already a wedding planner and entrepreneur with our family business... but with this, I was discovering my own power.
Looking at this lanyard today, I see the "receipts" of that journey. I didn’t just show up; I put in the work to become a CLIA Master, an Accredited & Niche Cruise Counsellor, and a graduate of the Cunard and Princess Academies.
Surpassing the milestones my mentors set wasn't just about the titles—it was about proving that as a Black woman in travel, I deserved a seat at the table. Even if I had to bring my own folding chair to get there.
But today, that table has grown into a beautiful, global community. My mission has shifted from personal success to a collective legacy.
Through my incredible team of Niche Travel Advisors, we are dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone.
While I am deeply passionate about opening doors for Black dreamers in this industry, our doors are open to clients of all ethnicities and walks of life.
We believe travel is the ultimate bridge, and we take pride in serving a diverse world with excellence and heart.
