At Grand Velas Boutique Los Cabos we had the opportunity to join Susie Albin-Najera , the Weddings & Groups team from Grand Velas, and a group of talented planners from across the United States invited by .

We exchanged ideas, shared perspectives on what couples are looking for today, and discussed the evolving role of in the destination and events industry.

For The Main Event Cabo, being part of these conversations helps us better understand the needs of planners and continue building the local partnerships that make producing events in Los Cabos easier, stronger, and more collaborative.

What actually makes an event feel high-end

It comes down to the details. Lighting sets the atmosphere and changes how everything looks and feels. A consistent design across all elements keeps the event cohesive and intentional. Personalized details make the experience feel curated and specific to each client.

It is not about adding more, but about choosing the right materials and textures to create depth. The layout also plays an important role, since every element should be placed with purpose to guide the flow of the event. Structural elements like arches or backdrops help define the space and create focal points.

Wood arch, soft draping, flowers and the ocean in the background. What a beautiful way to say I do.

Benches are the best option for a beach ceremony when there is no platform. Unlike regular chairs, they don’t sink into the sand and can comfortably seat 4 to 5 guests each.
