Minister Wiskes Visits Zingwangwa Bullets Stadium Construction Site

Hon. Patricia Wiskies, Minister of Youth, Sports & Culture, continues her Blantyre tour with a stop at the Bullets Stadium construction site in Zingwangwa.

At the site, the Minister was briefed by the contractor on the current situation. According to the contractor, the project stalled in 2020 following the change in government, and since then, no further construction has taken place.

Because of the long pause, the land has remained idle, and community members have been using parts of it for small-scale farming, including growing maize.

The Minister’s visit provided an opportunity to appreciate the status on the ground and gather firsthand information on what is needed for the project to resume.

Her tour reflects the government’s commitment to understanding the realities of sports infrastructure across the country and working towards sustainable solutions.

More updates coming as she continues her visits today.
