First of all, this customer Raidha Dhawood ordered a plain dress without any lace, delivery time within one month period. We do normally take orders of wedding gowns prior to 2-3 months. Since this customer’s order was a simple design we took this order because we knew we can finish the dress by the deadline.
But after confirming the order she requested to change the design with full lace mermaid dress with detachable skirt. Since our customers are our first priority, we catered for this request, even though it was a little time for a drastic change like this, we normally take two to three months for a dress like she requested.
Still we agreed to change the design. She sent a champaign color dress and asked us to change the color to champagne white. And the delivery date given is according to the first design. First we scheduled the estimate date for first fitting for 10th march, but since the design was changed we scheduled the first fittings on 12th march., and informed the customer on 6th March. The customer asked to give an exact time for the fitting on 11th March. And again asked on 12th early morning for exact time and we called her and told her that we will surely do the first fitting on 12th night and will give a time after 9:30 and the first fitting was done on 12th night. We felt that the color was little bit darker than the champagne white she requested, and might be due to the warm lighting but still we will change to a lighter color and did so as her preference. She did not make any complain regarding the dress and the color during the process.
Then again, when we showed her a sample detachable skirt and we suggested her to make the detachable skirt as the sample we showed, and she agreed and confirmed before leaving the fitting.
And we informed that the second fitting will be on 18th and will inform an exact time later on.
On 18th March morning the customer asked the time for fitting and we asked to come at 9:30pm. And she requested to change the time for 22:00 or 22:30. And we agreed. She came around that time and made the final fitting without any further comments or complaints, as far we knew she was happy and satisfied with the dress when she left.
The next day morning she again asked to change the detachable skirt as in her first sample design she sent. We agreed right away and made changes accordingly.
She came to collect the dress today evening and did not make any complain regarding the dress or the price or any services provided. We believe that we catered to all her requests and preferences without any hesitancy regardless of the time we got to finish the perfect dress on time.
We do not provide gown bag with the wedding dresses and even though we put the dress in the red bag it was carefully folded and wouldn’t be wrinkled. Please note that we provide steaming for the dress and gown bag upon request with extra charges.
After she left with the dress, a person related to her called and talked very rudely and said she hasn’t seen any bridal shop deliver dresses like this and even Riffath’s dresses are cheaper than ours. And we said that the customer agreed to the price when she confirmed the order and if she wasn’t happy with our prices she had the option to cancel and give the order to whichever bridal store she prefers. She told that there was no stitches on the wrist of the lace part on the sleeve and we told her that all of our dresses with lace sleeves, even the readymade dresses are like that, but if she wants we can do the alterations to her preference. She then started to threaten and told that she who we are and our personal information and would post on all social media platforms and we told her it up-to her to do so.
*before the first fitting the customer requested for a discount through a mutual friend, but since this was a last minute order and we did not get the time to order material from our supplier abroad and we had to purchase all the materials for the dress from male’, we told the mutual friend that it is not possible for us to give a discount for this specific dress. Anyone in the industry would understand that how expensive it would be to buy material from here in Male’. Maybe this could be the reason the customer felt that she didn’t get a blissful experience from us as we couldn’t think of any other reason as she was happy with the final dress when she left after collecting it.
