Our heart is broken. To Parker’s family and friends, please know that we are holding you close in our hearts. We grieve alongside you, and we are so deeply sorry for this unimaginable loss. May you find strength in the love that surrounds you and comfort in knowing that so many people are mourning with you. Parker will never be forgotten.
I am heartbroken by today's devastating news. On behalf of the people of Calgary, I extend my deepest condolences to Parker's family, friends, loved ones, classmates, and everyone whose lives were touched by this unimaginable loss.
For nearly two weeks, our community rallied around Parker and his family. Thousands of Calgarians searched, shared information, volunteered their time, and kept Parker and his family in their thoughts. I want to thank the Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, search and rescue teams, partner agencies, volunteers, and every resident who helped in the search. Your compassion and dedication reflected the very best of Calgary.
Today, we stand with Parker's family as they begin an unimaginable journey through grief. I ask all Calgarians to keep them in your thoughts and respect their privacy in the days ahead. Parker's life ended far too soon, and our entire city mourns with those who loved him most.
