Nenu, A portrait taken between scenes on ,
Nenu is a legendary Maltese folk singer in the tradition of Għana, he more than rose to the challenge of co starring in the film and in doing so ensuring the sound of Malta’s deep Mediterranean traditions and character are there for the world to hear . I was lucky enough to attend the recent premiere of Zejtune, I struggle to recall any depiction of the Maltese landscape that comes as close to how special it is than I saw on the cinema screen. a road trip film on an island you can cross in an hour, hidden valleys, rugged garrigue, and the glistening Mediterranean all without shying away from the challenges the land faces. Out in cinemas April 8th, an experience all lovers of Malta should not miss, Here’s to Nenu, the Maltese islands and all of the team that brought this gem to life.

It was a highlight of my year to be asked by my dear friends the Masini family to photograph Maria and Giulio’s wedding in Rome in early October. I’m not a city person but my fourth trip to the eternal city cements it as hands down my favorite city, we were blessed with absolutely splendid light and wonderful autumn weather. A weekend I won’t forget in a hurry, congratulations Maria and Giulio.

I recently joined and to photograph fieldwork on Kemmuna for their ongoing project , we used .forn.kemmuna as our base. I learned a lot about one of my favorite native birds the Merilli and we also managed to tag my other favorite the buffala (Sardinian Warbler). A very rewarding experience all round.
