Tallinn Music Week is an event very close to our heart and we feel privileged to be part of it since a few years!
The TMW 2026 | Cindy & Kate's Baltic Night will be held on Thursday 9 April at Uus Laine.

In the last years great opportunities for Latvian artists have arisen from this Baltic showcase, the Oranžās Brīvdienas tour to India and Nepal was born straight off stage, so as the appearance of OIL X GAS at Bearstone festival in Croatia. Also worth to mention is the encounter of Liepaja's Aston Kais with Ed O'Brien the guitarist of Radiohead. Ah, Aston Kais performed in Lithuania and Hungary thanks to TMW made connections.

Expect raw creativity, unbridled passion, and genre-bending performances that capture the Baltics' uniquely modern identity. The atmosphere shifts from intimate, pin-drop listening moments to bold, high-energy performances, offering a vivid snapshot of the region's rising talent. Artists who've graced the TMW stage with Cindy & Kate have been snapped up for gigs as far-flung as Croatia, India, and Nepal—straight off the stage.

Riga Music Days: With love from the Latvian Grassroots

To celebrate the occasion of the first Riga Music Week coming to town, KKC hosts two nights of unofficial fringe events celebrating and presenting Latvia’s vibrant grassroots scene.

Oil & Gas – explosive drums and electronics fresh from Bearstone Festival (Croatia)
Depustutes – raw Latvian punk energy
Orubs – Solo project of one of Latvijas top drummers
Oranžās Brīvdienas (acoustic) – “balagan-punk orchestra” fresh from their India and Nepal tour

Nicolas Bougaïeff – Minimal techno visionary and PhD researcher, presented by Girts (Erica Synths).

Hi to all musician friends,
the call for artists for Tallinn Music Week 2025 is still open until 7th November.
I program two stages ('Africa NOW' for music from Africa and the diaspora + 'Cindy&Kate' a showcase for Baltic artists) but there are many more amazing stages welcoming all genres.

The 17th "festival for tomorrow's music arts and ideas", Tallinn Music Week takes place on 3 – 6 April 2025. TMW welcomes artists from every genre across the globe to apply for a chance to play at one of the most acclaimed international music discovery festivals in Europe.

During TMW around 175 artists from various genres and scenes from all over Europe and beyond in Tallinn’s best venues play to an audience of around 15,000 people and to 1,000 music industry professionals from international markets and Baltic-Nordic region.

All artists/artist collective members and their representatives will also get a TMW PRO Pass that enables participation in both the TMW music festival and conference that includes the artist education programme of workshops and mentoring sessions.

Looking forward to our Sicilian friends Quartetto Areasud performing today in Liepaja at 18.00 at Rose Square / 18.00 Rožu laukumā.

Quartetto Areasud was born for fun and recreation to perform traditional music mainly related to the southern Italian and Sicilian cultures, not to mention that these territories are at the heart of the Mediterranean, a great “soup” in which the musical ingredients are cooked, with people who share a similar fate and tradition.

The four musicians come from the well-known groups of world music such as Nakaira and Oi Dipnoi, with the union of folk-singer Maurizio Cuzzocrea, who built his fortune over the years by participating in major festivals in Italy.

Although the instruments used exclusively a traditional origin and sought in the selection of the best builders, the performance of the songs is not strictly philological, but leaves room for personal interpretation and therefore the process of permanent settlement and re-creation that is characteristic of the music of oral tradition, for a rich repertoire of tarantella, in which the protagonist is friscalettu (the typical small Sicilian cane-flute, left by the ancient Greek culture), alongside chants, and serenades that tell stories through sounds and native languages of a piece of history and musicians who left a strong mark in Sicily before them.
