🌸🕉️ Happy Shivratri 🕉️🌸
Tomorrow is Shivratri, a very precious and deeply auspicious festival for all Sanatanis and Hindus. It is a day filled with immense spiritual power, peace, and divine love of Shivji.
On this holy day, I humbly suggest that we all try to do something, according to our capacity and circumstances.
🌞 Morning Ritual
If possible, wake up early in the morning and offer Arghya to Surya Bhagwan. After that, perform Shiv Puja at home.
If you are unable to take a bath early in the morning, that’s absolutely okay. At least sit quietly and chant
“Om Namah Shivay” for a few minutes with devotion.
🎶 Mantras & Bhakti
If possible, play or chant any Shiv mantras like Rudrashtakam, Lingashtakam, Shiv Amritvani, or any Shiv bhajan or mantra that touches your heart. These vibrations truly enhance spirituality and awaken Shiv-bhakti within us.
🚿 Abhishek (When You Can)
Later, after taking a bath, you may perform Abhishek of Shivji with:
• Jal
• Doodh
• Dahi
• Ghee
• Shakkar
• Water mixed with a little Ganga jal
If you are unable to do Abhishek with all five items, offering only jal is also more than enough. Simply offer jal with devotion and chant “Om Namah Shivay.” Shivji looks at bhav (intention), not complexity.
The Abhishek mantra is quite long and in Sanskrit. If anyone wants, I can share the Abhishek mantras personally.
🙏 If You Can Do Only One Thing
At least chant “Om Namah Shivay” for 10 minutes.
This simple act purifies the inner self, calms the mind, and brings deep peace. It may even become a beautiful daily habit.
📖 Reading from Ramayana
There are a few beautiful adhyays in Ramayana describing Shiv Vivah. Reading them takes hardly 5 minutes and is extremely enlightening.
If anyone wants, I can share the exact adhyay numbers personally.
🌙 About Vrat (Fasting)
Please don’t feel that vrat means staying hungry all day.
You can eat fruits, dry fruits, vrat food, drink lassi, make sweets or bring them from outside. Eat and be happy.
Vrat is not only about food—it is also about discipline and control:
• Vrat of not gossiping
• Vrat of not speaking ill of anyone
• Vrat of not thinking negatively
• Vrat of speaking only what is necessary
• Even partial silence (not complete maun vrat) is a beautiful offering to Shivji
This self-control itself is a gesture of love towards Baba.
❤️ Teach the Children Too
Please involve your children as well, so they learn Shiv puja and grow up embracing Shiv-bhakti and values in their lives.
I’m personally not able to do much this Shivratri, as I’m not at my place right now and not in Luxembourg, even though I truly wish to. But my heartfelt request to all of you is—please do something from your place, for your own peace, your family’s harmony, and divine blessings.
🌼 Shivratri brings immense peace, happiness, and a power that is difficult to explain but deeply felt.
✨ If anyone wants Abhishek mantras, Ramayana adhyay details, or any other guidance for tomorrow, please feel free to contact me personally.
✨ Wishing you all a very Happy Shivratri.
May Shivji bless you and your families with peace, love, and harmony.
Lots of love to all of you. 🕉️💙
