We are deeply saddened by the recent loss of lives and the frightening increase in gun violence within our community. Behind every headline is a mother grieving, a family broken, friends in disbelief and a community carrying pain.

Though the backbone of our economy, it is more than disruption to business; this is the loss of human life, of dreams, of safety, of peace.
It affects all of us, from the vendors and creatives, to every family trying to live, work and raise their children without fear.

To the young men, you can end this cycle. This path only leads to more pain for you, for your families, for OUR community. PLEASE, PUT DOWN THE GUNS!

There are other ways forward.
Your life has value and your choices matter.

To the families mourning right now, we send our deepest condolences. May those we’ve lost rest in eternal peace.

Let us choose compassion.
Let us believe in unity and in a future where our community feels safe again.
