Majority may perceive this cake as plain geometric, but behind it there are my techniques:
1. Starting with structure, it has a center-pole that acts like vertebral column for the cake. And dowels that holds the weight of each layer.
2. 3D shape, its not just a trimming process, it has to be at the right angle with specific dimensions that are planned before ex*****on, using templates and measurements will ensure the end result meets the desired shape.
3.covering with ganache is nothing like the usual way, in this cake we make ganache sheets then cut it into triangles then glue it to the sides of the cake (this process takes alot of time and chilling)
4.velour effect, coating the cake with velvet effect requires using the velour gun with our edible paint mix then spray it all over the cake.
5.carving the hand, this hand is not edible, its made of foam from inside (you can replace it with marshmallows and rice crispy mix if you want it edible). After that i covered it with fondant and dye it with gold paint.
