Although Octopus Events closed its doors two years ago ,the memories of all the weddings, parties and events that we produced and the wonderful people we met as a result are still very much alive. Great opening of the Commonwealth Games. Marcus, I think I must have missed your break dance in the square when I slipped into the kitchen for a beer. The pipe band and the National Anthem gave me goose bumps. Go Cayman team!!!

I am pretty mad with the management at Morritts Tortuga. I had been asked to attend a meeting with a bride to discuss her December wedding and had the confirmation of the appointment. I cut short my trip to Jamaica to attend the meeting and when I got there nobody knew anything about it as the person in charge had been fired. The poor bride was upset as they had been giving her the runaround for nearly a year and she kept apologizing although it was no fault of hers. The replacement manager just shrugged .Really badly handled Morritts !!The bride needed serious reassurance, and I frankly felt I was due some sort of professional explanation or apology.

This morning i have been watching Andy Murray being crushed by Nadal,at the French Open then trying to persuade a bride that although it is lashing down with rain this afternoon it will be a glorious sunny day for her wedding tomorrow- and if not,it is her wedding day and it will be memorable in any case!!I don't think it was much consolation.Some brides will just jump for joy in the puddles and others think it is a punishment being wrought on them They were to have had a bonfire on the beach tonight which isn't going to happen, but they could still go skinny dipping -the water is warm. That would give their guests something to remember..

I watched ESPN 9 for X1 No Limits, on Tuesday. It was the stuff of which nightmares are made. The catalogue of needless disasters , caused by a badly organized team assisting in a world record Free Diving attempt ,which resulted in tragedy, i found greatly disturbing.
