Our Story

Simply Weddings - Grand Cayman Wedding Celebrants and Planners is a legacy family business owned and run by a well-known local couple Sam and Joy Basdeo. They practice what they preach, as this couple have been married for 45 years and have four adult, married children and 7 grand-children. The company has been in business for the last 10 years. The couple have taken over from Joy’s parents, Francine and Vernon Jackson who established and operated the veteran company Cayman Weddings for over 30 years., during which time they performed more than 7500 weddings.

Joy is a Civil Registrar of Marriages, and officiates and registers your marriage. She will also help you plan the details, transportation, photography, flowers, cake, champagne toasts, as well as hair and makeup. Sam is the detail person and accountant, he handles all the paperwork needed and the payment.
