Great thanks to Sungmo Cho for an inspiring talk and sharing such beautiful work (it looked great in the hanok!), and thanks to everyone who came to enjoy the experience together. It was a gorgeous and meaningful day, as always when we come together with the inspiration of the arts! Go enjoy his full exhibit in Buyeo this week and then in Busan in June!

Yesterday Mafo, Laure made history! She was the first non-Korean in Korea to perform a full (3-hour) PANSORI. She sang with grace and power and a unique cheer that brought the story of Heungboga fully to life, engaging the audience through every minute. It was a true pleasure to be there amidst so many master musicians, ambassadors and dignitaries, fans and friends, and surely throngs of proud, happy ancestors (Korean, French, Cameroonian). In 2022, during a YTN film shooting at the Music House, Laure was introduced as a surprise gift by youtuber 채코제 Chae Ko Jay, she sang with glorious verve and cheer, instructing us how to sing a few phrases in call and response, then we all shared a beautiful meal Jay cooked. It was a night to remember forever, as was last night. Congratulations félicitations to a truly inspiring singer ~ awaiting the next performance!

Enjoy the exquisitely beautiful work of New York-based, Korean-American fine art painter Sungmo Cho which carries the message of love and nature, with a palette that brings peace to the heart. Sungmo Cho will show a selection of works from his exhibit tour, and talk about his life's work and the "Sarang Mountain" gallery nature healing center in New York. This event features works carefully selected from among the medium and small-sized pieces by artist Cho Sung-mo during his touring exhibition due to venue constraints. There will be a reception with the artist!

사랑과 자연의 메시지를 담고, 마음에 평화를 전하는 아름다운 색채로 빛나는 뉴욕의 한국계 미국인 화가 조성모의 섬세하고도 눈부신 작품 세계를 감상해 보세요. 조성모는 전시 투어의 다양한 작품을 선보이며, 그의 생애 작품과 뉴욕의 '사랑의 산' 갤러리 자연 치유 센터에 대해 이야기할 예정입니다. 이번 전시는 장소 여건상, 조성모 작가의 순회전 출품작 가운데 중· 소형 작품들을 엄선하여 선보입니다. 아티스트와의 리셉션이 있을 예정입니다!

The stage is oiled and big pot of daal is cooked ~ all ready to welcome friends to the annual Open Heart Open Stage!(and world food potluck 🙂 3pm 4/25 ~ there will be singing handpan ukelele cello guitar belly dance and surely many fascinating surprises.
